Chef Matt Golinski

Matt Golinski is a highly regarded, professional chef with a passion for creating cuisine using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. 

Well known as one of the original team members of the popular ‘Ready Steady Cook’ television series, Matt has worked as executive chef at some of Queensland’s leading restaurants and founded his own catering company. 

Based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Matt now enjoys working as a consulting chef to restaurants, being a regular guest chef at festivals and events and writing his popular food columns and blog.

Chef Troy Horton

Chef Troy has had an extensive journey with Kingfisher Bay Resort, starting as an Apprentice Chef in 2001. Over the course of a decade, he diligently worked his way up through various positions within the resort’s restaurants, ultimately reaching the role of Sous Chef.  

After a period away, during which he aimed to enhance his career further, Chef Troy returned to Kingfisher Bay Resort in 2022. His return marked a significant milestone as he assumed the position of Sous Chef once again, taking charge of kitchen operations across all areas, including the successful relaunch of the Sand and Wood Restaurant.

Chef Tobias Scholz & Chef Russell Czinege

Tobias Scholz isn’t your average chef – he’s a master of culinary arts, blending creativity and precision to craft dishes that reflect his deep respect for seasonal ingredients and sustainability. Beyond the kitchen, Tobias tends to his micro farm near Hervey Bay, infusing his passion for food into every aspect of his life. With a focus on flavor and innovation, he transforms meals into memorable culinary experiences, showcasing his expertise as both a designer and artist.

 Bay Fusion’s founder – Russell Czinege, has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years & has extensive experience both domestically and internationally.  With a passion for food and a love of cuisine, Russell has dedicated his life to the hospitality industry.

Aunty Kym Walker

Kym Walker is a Butchulla and South Sea Islander woman with strong ancestral and historical connections to the Fraser Coast region of Australia. As a chef, Kym is dedicated to blending traditional Australian game meat, seafood, native bush herbs, spices, fruits, and nuts into everyday dishes. 

Kym’s passion for incorporating Australian native foods into her dishes comes from a deep respect for their natural medicinal remedies, nutritional values, and cultural history throughout Australian Aboriginal cultures, lores, and practices. She believes that these ingredients not only add unique flavours to her dishes but also provide important connections to her heritage and the land.
