Dan and Steph are Fraser Coast Tourism Ambassadors who rose to fame after winning My Kitchen Rules in 2013. Since their victory, they have established themselves as serious players in the foodie world, opening the successful restaurant EAT at Dan & Steph’s just a year after their win. 

Dan and Steph are passionate about food, family, and fun, and they continue to work on and in their restaurant daily. Their culinary creations showcase the best of local and seasonal ingredients, and they are dedicated to supporting local producers and growers.

Alastair McLeod is a renowned chef, television personality, ambassador, and corporate host. With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, he has worked in some of the world’s most renowned restaurants. Alastair is best known for his roles on Channel Seven’s Great Day Out and Network 10’s Ready Steady Cook, where he has captivated audiences with his innovative culinary creations and charming personality. Alastair’s passion for food is infectious, and he is dedicated to using his platform to inspire others to cook and explore new flavours. 

Alastair’s innovative approach to cooking blends traditional techniques with modern flavours to create unique and unforgettable dishes. Join Alastair on a culinary journey that will awaken your taste buds and inspire you to explore new flavours and ingredients.

Experience culinary excellence with Executive Sous Chef Arpan Sharma from Kingfisher Bay Resort. With over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Chef Arpan brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to the Relish Food Lovers Marquee in 2023. 

Chef Arpan’s passion for using locally sourced, sustainable ingredients shines through in his dishes, which are not only delicious but also environmentally conscious. His menu features a range of culinary delights, from classic favourites to innovative creations that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. 

Time: 12.45pm 

Kym Walker is a Butchulla and South Sea Islander woman with strong ancestral and historical connections to the Fraser Coast region of Australia. As a chef, Kym is dedicated to blending traditional Australian game meat, seafood, native bush herbs, spices, fruits, and nuts into everyday dishes. 

Kym’s passion for incorporating Australian native foods into her dishes comes from a deep respect for their natural medicinal remedies, nutritional values, and cultural history throughout Australian Aboriginal cultures, lores, and practices. She believes that these ingredients not only add unique flavours to her dishes but also provide important connections to her heritage and the land.

Damien Symes has been a qualified Chef for over 25 years and a Hospitality Teacher at Urangan High for the past 16 years. He started cake decorating during his apprenticeship to become a Chef however didn’t really get into the nuts and bolts of the industry until joining the Maryborough Branch 10 years ago. Now he teachers his students this time old skill.
