Event Overview

Enjoy local food, regional wines, beers and fabulous music in Portside Precinct and Queens Park. Maryborough’s heritage streetscapes and riverside parks are the perfect setting for a feast of local cuisine serving up celebrity and local chefs, gourmet tastings, cooking demonstrations, live music and more. Drop in on local regional wineries for a delightful tasting experience and sample the finest seasonal produce grown in the Fraser Coast and surrounding idyllic natural environment.

Can I bring Food?

Outside food is not permitted. We encourage you to enjoy the variety of food offered by our event vendors.

Can I bring Alcohol?

No, Relish Food & Wine Festival is a fully licensed precinct. There is no BYO, all alcohol will be confiscated by security at the gate.


Return busses will be running between Hervey Bay and Maryborough, return bus tickets are $15pp and can be purchased here:

Wide Bay Transit will be running their regular Maryborough Saturday services, disembark at City Hall.

Do I need a General Admission as well as a session ticket?

All patrons will require a General Admission Ticket before entering the event precinct and attending other event sessions.

What to do at the event & what does a general admission ticket get me?

A General Admission ticket gives you access to

• 2 Live Music Stages and roving entertainment
• Food Lovers Marquee cooking demonstrations hosted by Chef Matt Golinski
• 8 Regional wineries
• 2 Licensed Beer & Spirits bars
• Food, Provision and Market stalls
• Toilets, Fencing, Security, Cleaners, Staff and;
• Access to additional ticketed sessions

Provision Stalls?

Yes, there will be provision stalls at Relish selling a wide range of products including homewares, sauces, provisions and some fresh produce.

Children's Activites

There are no children activities. All children must be accompanied by an adult and is the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

How long has the festival been running?

Relish Food & Wine Festival started as Portside Food & Wine Festival in 2011 before changing in 2012 to Relish Food & Wine Festival.


Fixed and portable toilets are available through the precinct including accessible toilets

Parking, including accessible parking

Parking available in surrounding streets, any parking regulations on side roads will still apply. Nearby free car parks include McDowell, Alan & June, Federal, Negus, HJ Davies & Leslie Jones carparks all within 10-minute walk to main entry gates. Stop Drop & Roll

Patrons can be dropped off in front of the Post Office on Bazaar Street, no parking.


Seating is limited – Ticketholders are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and camp chairs.  

How Much are Tickets?

Admission tickets start at $12.50 increasing to $22.50 on the day Session tickets start at $20 going up to $90, session tickets are limited.

Where do I get tickets?

This event is ticketed. All tickets can be purchased via this link from April 8, 2024.

Tickets can also be purchased through the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Visitor Information Centres during opening hours, in person or over the phone.

Tickets may be available at the gate depending on availability – note ticket prices on the day increase to $22.50

All patrons will require a General Admission Ticket before entering the event precinct and attending other event sessions. 

Are companion card tickets available?

Yes, please call 1800 811 728 to arrange the purchase of your subsidised companion card entry ticket.  Companion Card applies to general admission tickets only.

Can I bring my Dog/Pet?

No pets allowed. Assistance animals are exempt.

Is food available?

Food and beverages will be available from food stalls & trucks.
